Rob Gronkowski active for Patriots in Week 7
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is active for the Patriots in Week 7 for the first time this season.
A slew of forearm surgeries, an operation on his back and umpteen billion updates later, the Rob Gronkowski saga is over and the tight end is back on the field.
Or least the tight end is available to be back on the field for the first time this season, as Gronk wasn't listed on the Patriots official inactives list for this week:

And as such, he'll play against the Jets. (Obviously Aqib Talib will not play and neither will Danny Amendola.)
The question, of course, is how much he'll play. Given how badly Tom Brady's struggled at times getting on the same page with Julian Edelman, Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson, it's clear the Pats need all the receiving help they can get.
But forcing Gronk into playing too much and having him suffer a worse injury isn't what New England wants to happen.
If he's been "beasting" at practice (as reported), Gronk could be prepped to surprise people out of the gate. At the very least, expect heavy doses of the monstrous tight end near the red zone, where he's most effective.
