Russell Wilson vs. Steve Beuerlein in accuracy competition

NEW ORLEANS -- NFL Monday QB analyst Steve Beuerlein warmed up his dormant arm in a quarterback accuracy challenge against Seattle's NFL rookie quarterback sensation Russell Wilson Thursday night on the set of Super Bowl Live. Beuerlein and Wilson threw the pigskin for about 50 yards to their target, Shannon Sharpe, in Jackson Square.

Don’t let Beuerlein’s mature good looks fool you; they don’t call him “B-line” for nothing, and he’s still got a cannon for an arm even though he’s twice Wilson’s age.

“You know Steve Beuerlein is hearing about all these quarterback contracts and that’s what he’s hoping for,” Greg Gumbel said.

Beuerlein responded, “You know I can make a comeback.”

The challenge saw Sharpe drop one beautiful pass from Beuerlein but in the end Sharpe voted Wilson the winner of the accuracy challenge.

Despite his age and time in front of the camera, Beuerlein looks like he’s still got it. Could we see a comeback in the future?
