Saints WR Joe Morgan tears ACL
Another NFL receiver has been lost with a torn ACL. This time it's New Orleans' Joe Morgan.
Though he only had 10 catches last season, Joe Morgan was in good position to win the Saints No. 3 receiving job heading into 2013. But the plague of NFL receivers suffering ACL tears continues on, as New Orleans coach Sean Payton told reporters Wednesday that Morgan had torn his.
Payton also said defensive end Kenyon Coleman had been lost for the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
Morgan, who managed to catch three touchdowns last year, injured himself during a scrimmage last Saturday, and he went for a second opinion. Obviously, he didn’t get good news.
Goodell's gonna have to outlaw ACLs altogether. RT @LarryHolder: Joe Morgan has a torn ACL. Likely done for the season.— SI_DougFarrar (@SI_DougFarrar) August 7, 2013
