The yawning gap between the SEC and the rest of college football was clearly evident in the draft.

A quarter of the 254 players drafted -- 63 -- came from the SEC, and no other conference produced half that many. The ACC (31 players drafted) and Pac-12 (28) were next.

The SEC's 63 picks set a draft record, shattering the previous mark of 55 set by the Pac-10 in 1983.

Florida State of the ACC had the most players drafted, 11, but after that it was all SEC. Alabama (9), LSU (9), Georgia (8) and Florida (8) rounded out the top five, with South Carolina tying Rutgers for sixth with seven players drafted.

Entering this draft, there had been 528 SEC players drafted since 2000. The Big Ten was next with 455, followed by the Pac-12 (391) and Big 12 (371).
