Steelers injury updates: Troy Polamalu likely out, LaMarr Woodley to return Week 7
The Steelers are likely to be without Troy Polamalu next week, but several other injured players should return, according to league sources.
Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, oft injured of late, is not expected to be ready for Week 7 against the Bengals as he tries to come back from his latest calf injury, but linebacker LaMarr Woodley is coming along well, a league source said, and should be ready to return barring a setback to his hamstring.
Center Maurkice Pouncey, who suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Titans on Thursday, is also not expected to miss any significant time, sources said. His return for the weekend is not out of the question.
And running back Rashard Mendenhall, who had a sore Achilles on Thursday in just his second game back from knee surgery, is also doing well. He escaped significant injury, and is likely to return this weekend when Pittsburgh takes on Cincinnati.
