Heinicke was placed on the Non-Football Injury List prior to the start of the season after tearing two tendons in his foot following an altercation with an unfortunate door. The status of the door is unknown, but was likely retired following Heinicke's swift kick.

Minnesota has 21 days to officially activate Heinicke before he is placed on Injured Reserve.
