After losing Dennis Pitta to a dislocated hip, the Ravens signed 37-year-old possession receiver Brandon Stokley on Saturday to help steady a team that doesn’t have much depth at receiver. Now, the team is helping its tight end corps, signing 34-year-old Dallas Clark to a contract.

Baltimore will miss Pitta the entire season, but Ed Dickson, who was looking to replace Pitta’s production as the No. 1 tight end, has been out of action after suffering a slight hamstring tear.

Clark -- who, like Stokley, spent most of his career catching passes from Peyton Manning with the Colts and played there for now-Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell -- caught 47 passes for 435 yards and four touchdowns with the Buccaneers last season. It was his best production since he recorded 100 catches for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2008.

Meanwhile, Dickson isn’t quite sure when he’ll return.

“You can’t rush back from those things,” Dickson said Sunday, via the team’s website. “I’m just trying my hardest to get back out there. It kills me. I’m hard on myself. I wanted to get back there today, but I don’t want to go out and hurt the team and be out for weeks during the regular season.”
