Terence Newman is a free agent. He spent last season with the Bengals after nine years in Dallas. And now, the 34-year-old former first-round pick would like to sign a contract -- to presumably stay in Cincinnati -- and continue his career. One problem: he can't get ahold of his agent, at least to hear Newman tell it.

But it's not like Ben Dogra, who along with Tom Condon heads CAA, has gone missing. Dogra and Condon represent Elvis Dumervil, who just signed a five-year deal with the Ravens. Other CAA clients include Mario Williams, Adrian Peterson, as well as Osi Umenyiora, Dwight Freeney and Sebastian Vollmer, all players currently in the midst of -- or having just completed -- contract negotiations.

Meanwhile, Newman, who is on the downside of a solid career and isn't the cash cow he once was, waits for a callback.
