Terrelle Pryor taken to locker room after big hit

With the game essentially over and the Raiders down 37-14, Terrelle Pryor departed the field for the locker room to be evaluated. Pryor suffered a big hit on a designed quarterback run with the Raiders knocking on the Broncos goal line.

At the time he took a massive shot but remained in the game and attempted a pair of passes -- both incomplete -- before the Broncos turned the ball over on downs.

Shortly after Peyton Manning (what's he doing in the game?) took over and started moving the ball down the field, Pryor was spotted by ESPN cameras walking with Raiders personnel to the locker room.

On the play in question where he was hit, Pryor got sandwiched by a pair of Broncos defenders and remained on the ground briefly. It appeared he might have fumbled but it was ruled after replay that his knee was down.

The issue at hand here, though, is that the Raiders wouldn't have taken Pryor out and tested him immediately after the apparent injury.

Matt Flynn took over on the next series, but with a game that was clearly out of hand it would've been prudent (and safe) to yank Pryor from the game and have him tested immediately.
