Tom Brady knee injury just a sprain, doesn't appear serious
Tom Brady's knee injury is just a sprain and doesn't appear serious CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports.
Wednesday's Patriots practice brought a Tom Brady knee injury and, nearly, the end of the world as we know it. At least that's how it felt on Twitter, what with gruesome Zapruder-like video of Brady getting hurt emerging on social media and Brady gripping his left knee in pain.
So it's great to hear CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora report that Brady's knee injury doesn't appear serious and is just a sprain.
Initial tests indicate Tom Brady's knee sprain not serious. Patriots will continue to monitor it.— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) August 14, 2013
Tom Curran of CSN New England first reported that Brady would likely live through the injury. (And that he was fine.)
The Boston Herald reports that the Pats "won't know for a couple days" how long Brady will miss, but it's unlikely they really care. Keeping him healthy is paramount here, even as much as they need to get Brady and his new set of receivers on the same page.
All of this jives with what Jonathan Kraft said earlier in the day.
"I'm under the impression that it's probably not that serious, but that's not a definitive answer," Kraft said on the radio.
