Tom Brady returns to practice, says illness was 'nothing at all'

After missing practice Wednesday with an illness, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned to the field Thursday, three days before New England faces Peyton Manning and Denver in the AFC Championship game.
"I'm doing very well," Brady said after Thursday's workout, according to MassLive.com's Nick Underhill. "It's nothing, I feel great. Nothing at all."

Disaster averted, nothing to see here, so on and so forth.
With Brady apparently in good health, we can now return to the truly important storylines: Brady vs. Manning.
The two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks have faced off on 14 previous occasions, with Brady winning 10 of them, including a 2-1 record in AFC Championship games. It's enough to make Broncos executive John Elway -- also the last man to lead Denver to a Super Bowl win -- lament that Manning doesn't get nearly enough credit.
“He's won a Super Bowl. For some reason he doesn't seem to get the credit for having won one Super Bowl already,” Elway told the New York Daily News earlier this week. “I think maybe the comparison is Tom going to five and Peyton having been to two and winning one, that may be it.”
Good news: The Broncos are favored by 5.5 points, and five of eight CBSSports.com experts like Manning to prevail. Bad news: If Manning plays poorly and Denver loses, we'll have to spend another offseason rehashing the hows and whys. And really, that benefits no one.
