VIDEO: Tom Brady surprises two young heroes on 'Ellen'
After one six-year-old stuck up for a friend and football teammate who was being bullied, the story grew, and both ended up on 'Ellen' where they received a surprise message from Tom Brady.
If you watch this video you will tear up. But trust us, it's worth it because in the face of all that's seemingly wrong in the world, these are the moments that remind you of the power of the human spirit.
Danny is a six-year-old who suffered a brain hemorrhage shortly after he was born. As a result, he has spent years in speech therapy. He also wears a suit, tie and fedora to school everyday, which has led to bullying.
But Tommy, who plays on Danny's football team, wouldn't stand for it. He and the other teammates, in a show of solidarity, decided to all wear suits and ties.
One thing led to another, the story grew, and both Danny and Tommy ended up on Ellen where they not only got new fedoras but a surprise message from Tom Brady.
"I heard about your story and I can't imagine how proud your parents must be," Brady said. "Danny, people still tease me about what I wear, but I never listen to them so keep wearing what makes you feel best."
"And Tommy, I love your leadership and how you stood up for Danny," Brady continued. "And I applaud the entire Bridgewater team for participating.
"And I hear you're both big Patriots fans so I'd love to give you tickets to our regular-season finale against Buffalo, and give you some field passes too. One more thing, Mr. Kraft, our owner, wanted me to give you tickets for your entire team to come to our Hall of Fame here at Patriot Place."
