It gets better: As Kelly walked out of the hospital Wednesday, he was greeted by cheering friends and family. Afterwards, he was understandly emotional.
“Thank you guys," he said, according to Bills.com. "I know I could not have done this without family and friends and you guys have been here since day one,” said Kelly. “I have a long way to go but I know with you people on my team I’ll be here for many many more years and many more parties and gatherings, so thank you.”
The Associated Press reported in April that Kelly has interest in being a part of the bidding during the impending sale of the Bills' franchise. Kelly, who took the Bills to four Super Bowls, wants to make sure the team remains in Buffalo.
