Wes Welker's horse Undrafted won the Jaipur Invitational at the Belmont before California Chrome tried to become the first Triple Crown winner since 1978.
We mentioned Saturday morning that Wes Welker's horse Undrafted was entered in one of the undercard races leading up to the Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
Welker's luck at races (he was the beneficiary of a $15,000 computer mistake during the Kentucky Derby) continued Saturday, as Undrafted won the Jaipur Invitational.

The gelding, who was ridden by John Velazquez for Wesley Ward, rallied on the outside in deep stretch to surge by Marchman - who came in off back-to-back graded stakes victories - and pull clear for a 1 1/2-length victory. The final time for six furlongs on turf rated firm was 1:07.24.
Just another nice payday for Welker on Saturday: The race had a purse of $300,000 with the winner getting $165,000.
