With RG3, Cousins out, Rex Grossman starts for Redskins

Five days ago, Kirk Cousins was the Redskins starting quarterback, but he was forced from the game early in the second quarter with a sprained right foot. With Robert Griffin III still sidelined while rehabbing a knee injury, that meant third-stringer Rex Grossman would be under center when the Redskins hosted the Bills Saturday.

Pat White is the only other quarterback listed on the depth chart.

Cousins should be ready to go once the season starts, although the hope is that the team's other second-year quarterback, Robert Griffin III, will get the Dr. James Andrews green light to return to the lineup when the Redskins host the Eagles on Sept. 9.

In other RG3-related news, there will be no fines this week for his pregame fashion choices.
