Zay Jones elevating draft stock

Zay Jones isn't only closing in on a few NCAA records with his phenomenal senior season, but he's also potentially earning himself some major money.

The East Carolina wide receiver debuted earlier this week at No. 43 overall on Matt Miller's Top 50 draft-eligible prospects for the 2017 draft class on Bleacher Report. Miller also ranks Jones as the third overall receiver in the upcoming cycle, behind only Clemson's Mike Williams and Virginia Tech's Isaiah Ford.

It's no surprise that Jones is also Miller's 'Biggest Riser' at the wide receiver position. Jones has an NCAA-best 84 receptions through six games this season for 840 yards and three touchdowns.

Jones has not only caught the underneath routes as in past years this season, but has added another element to his game, showing the ability to catch the deep ball in contested one-on-one coverage.

ECU's last two draft picks (Justin Hardy in 2015 and Dwayne Harris in 2011) were each wide receivers.
