The Ravens signed Adams to the practice squad Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Turning 31 years old later this month, Adams has 100 games of NFL experience under his belt and could quickly elevate to Baltimore's 53-man roster once he gets his legs underneath him. Adams spent last season with the Titans, starting 11 games.

Adams suffered the injury on a touchdown reception for the Cowboys early in the fourth quarter. He was carted off the field and quickly ruled out, suggesting the potential for a serious injury. If Adams is sidelined beyond Thursday's game, it would be a big blow to Tennessee's secondary, as he has regularly played over 80 percent of defensive snaps at free safety.

Adams tied his season high in tackles despite finishing with two fewer stops than linebacker Monty Rice in Week 14.
