Damien Wilson: Signing with Dallas
Wilson was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wilson was let go by the Panthers in March and he went unsigned until the final week of the regular season. He'll provide Dallas with an extreme depth option at linebacker heading into Week 18 and potentially into the postseason.

Damien Wilson: Suspension over
The NFL lifted Wilson's four-game suspension Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 30-year-old was released by the Panthers back in March and was then hit with a four-game suspension last month for violating the personal conduct policy. Wilson is now free to play if he can find a team to take a shot on him. He has 127 games of experience, including 73 starts on defense.

The NFL suspended Wilson on Thursday four weeks for violating its personal conduct policy, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Wilson was released by Carolina during the offseason and has yet to find another opportunity since. The suspension will make it even more difficult for him to get another shot at a roster spot.

The Panthers released Wilson on Friday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Wilson signed a two-year deal with the Panthers in March 2022, but he fell out of the linebacker rotation completely last season as Carolina transitioned into a new defensive scheme. He posted a career-high 106 tackles with the Jaguars in 2021 and should garner plenty of interest as a free agent this summer.

Wilson agreed to a two-year contract with the Panthers on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Wilson set a career high with 106 tackles (59 solo), three sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in 17 games for Jacksonville in 2021, and he was able to secure a multi-year deal in free agency. The 28-year-old should be a solid IDP option for Carolina in 2022 coming off last year's production.

Wilson (illness) was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
Wilson tested positive for the virus, but he was away from the team for only three days. The 28-year-old linebacker is expected to garner his usual starting inside-linebacker role against the Patriots in Week 17. On the season, Wilson has logged 99 tackles across 15 appearances.
