| Bills lock up RB Jackson: The Bills have delivered on their promise to reward running back Fred Jackson by signing him to a two-year contract extension that's potentially worth $9 million. He is now signed through the 2014 season. Jackson was the Bills' first-half MVP last season before his year ended after he broke a bone in his right leg in a 35-8 loss at Miami on Nov. 20. He still finished with six touchdowns and a team-best 934 yards rushing while averaging 5.5 yards a carry. Jackson has led the Bills in rushing in each of the past three seasons. He insists he'll have the same chip on his shoulder that has been paramount to his success. "Without a doubt, that's never going anywhere," Jackson said. "That's kind of what got me to where I am today." (Updated 05/07/2012) |

| With doctors clearing him for football activities, Jackson should be an eager participant in the Bills' offseason practices. He should be the team's starter, but after C.J. Spiller ended last season with a bang, chances are they'll split reps with Jackson getting more work but not quite as much work as he had before he got hurt last year. Jackson's also 31 years old but doesn't have the wear-and-tear that typically comes with rushers over 30. It's clear that he's a part of their future and a potential 15-touch-per-game back, something Fantasy owners should feel good about. Jackson represents a solid value as a No. 2 Fantasy RB worth a pick between late Round 3 and early Round 5. (Updated 05/07/2012). |
