Riley Cooper steps up with other WRs quiet
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

For as productive as Jeremy Maclin and Jordan Matthews have been in the second half of the season, neither seemed to be a big target for quarterback Mark Sanchez in Week 16 at Washington. Tight end Zach Ertz got all the targets for the Eagles, but wide receiver Riley Cooper scored the touchdowns, hauling in a 3-yard slant late in the second quarter and making a leaping 16-yard grab early in the fourth. He finished with five catches for 53 yards.

Cooper entered the game with just one touchdown all season, and he hadn't topped 50 yards since Week 8 at Arizona. Matthews, a rookie, had seemingly overtaken him in the pecking order, but now Matthews has averaged just 33.0 receiving yards in his last four games.

The bigger upset for Cooper in Week 16 was outperforming Maclin, who had four catches for 62 yards. Maclin had only one fewer target than Cooper, though, and still finished with more yardage, so you have little reason to believe Cooper is now the preferred option. He and Matthews may be 2A and 2B, though, which makes both hard to trust Week 17 at the Giants.

Eagles WR Riley Cooper finds paydirt twice
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper caught only five passes and made two of them count for six in Saturday's 27-24 defeat to Washington in Week 16.

Cooper came down with a 3-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter and a 16-yard grab in the end zone in the fourth quarter. He was targeted seven times and finished with five grabs for 53 yards and two scores. He has 53 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Cooper will look to end the regular season on a high note Week 17 against the Giants.

Eagles' Jeremy Maclin leads team with 98 receiving yards Week 15
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin caught four of his five targets for a team-high 98 yards in his team's 38-27 loss to the Cowboys in Week 15.

Maclin's highlight came courtesy of a bad decision by his defender, who went for an interception despite having no help behind him. Maclin hauled in the catch and then followed a teammate blocking the one defender remaining between him and the goal line but was dragged down at the one-yard line on the 72-yard play.

Tight end Brent Celek racked up 52 yards while catching four of his six targets. Rookie Josh Huff received just one target but hauled it in across the middle and weaved his way toward the sideline for a 44-yard gain. Tight end Zach Ertz contributed three catches for 32 yards, while wide receiver Riley Cooper managed 17 yards on two receptions. Rookie Jordan Matthews recorded just one target but didn't catch it.

The Eagles will look to rebound against the Redskins in Week 16.

Eagles receivers don't do much Week 14
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

The Eagles receivers didn't amount to much Week 14 against the Seahawks.

Jordan Matthews finished second on the club in receiving, gaining 23 yards on two receptions. Jeremy Maclin had three catches, but did manage to find the end zone. He finished with 21 yards. Maclin's score came on a 1 yard pass in the first quarter. Riley Cooper also had three catches, but gained just 13 yards.

The trio will hope for more Week 15 against the Cowboys.

Eagles get offensive contributions Week 13
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

The Eagles got several offensive contributions in their Thursday blowout of the Cowboys. Wideout Riley Cooper caught four of seven targets for 32 yards, and tight end Brett Celek had a 7-yard reception.

Running back Darren Sproles caught all three of his targets for 19 yards and had a 13-yard run. Running back Chris Polk, playing mainly in garbage time, ran 11 times for 49 yards. Receiver Josh Huff added a 7-yard rush.

They'll all play the Seahawks in Week 14.
