Britt caught seven of eight targets for a season-high 136 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Lions.
Britt got it done in a variety of roles, scoring touchdowns of 20 and nine yards, and stretching the defense with a 47-yard gain as well. Britt has been one of the more heavily-targeted Rams this season, and this big game suddenly puts him on pace for over 1.300 receiving yards if he can sustain his current level. With his value on the rise, Britt will set his sights on the Giants defensive unit in Week 7 that has been susceptible to strong wideout play this season.
Britt was a little banged up heading into the game, but led the Rams in receiving yardage. He's actually been consistent this year in terms of yardage, with 65+ yards in four of five games, though he's still looking for his first touchdown of the year. He might have a good shot at scoring next week against Detroit, which has been poor against the pass in 2016.
The 28-year-old was a full participant in Friday's practice, which bode well for his chances of suiting up Sunday. That has now become a reality, with Britt set to once again spearhead a Rams receiving corps in which he ranks second in targets (26).
Britt has been Mr. Consistency this season, racking up exactly four catches on three occasions and six receptions in the other contest. While his output has ranged from 38 to 94 yards, he has yet to reach the end zone as the Rams' second-most targeted receiver with 26 looks. His stat lines aside, Britt didn't make an appearance on last week's injury report until Friday, logging a limited practice, so a no-show this Wednesday is a bit worrisome. Expect the wideout's status to receive some clarity before week's end.
Despite being questionable with a thigh injury in the leadup to Sunday's game, Britt led the Rams in receiving yards. He's yet to record a touchdown on the season but he's consistently put up yards. With the passing game steadily improving he could see his touchdown drought turn around soon. He and the Rams face a quality Bills secondary in Week 5, but the return to Los Angeles might bode well for the team.
