Galette (Achilles) is getting closer to returning to full strength, John Keim on ESPN.com reports. "He's got a little ways to go," head coach Jay Gruden noted, "but you can see that he's got the quick twitch, which you really need off the edge."

Gruden and the Redskins are hoping Galette can make a full comeback after missing the majority of the past two seasons with Achilles injuries. When healthy, Galette represents Washington's best pass-rusher of the edge, but the team isn't afraid to patiently wait for the 29-year-old to get to that point. Preston Smith got the starting reps last week during OTAs but they also have second-round pick Ryan Anderson and Trent Murphy, who is suspended for the first four games of the season. All this considered, it appears the Redskins will run strongside linebacker by committee this year, which will hopefully include Galette at some point.

Galette (Achilles) will be eased back into action during OTAs, Stephen Czarda of Redskins.com reports.

Galette will be limited during the Redskins' OTAs next week, and likely held out of the team portions according to coach Jay Gruden. The oustide linebacker has suffered Achilles tears in back-to-back offseasons, so it makes sense for Washington to proceed with extreme caution this time around. The best-case scenario for Galette would be coming into training as a full participant later this summer.

Galette (Achilles) was arrested Friday night on accusations of disorderly conduct and failure to comply with police orders, Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate reports.

Galette was arrested following an altercation at the MGM Park minor-league baseball stadium in Biloxi, Mississippi. It's unclear at this point in time if he'll face discipline from either the league or the Redskins.

Galette (Achilles) is aiming to be ready for the beginning of training camp in late July, The Washington Post reports.

Galette has yet to log a snap for the Redskins due to a pair of torn Achilles before both of the past two seasons. It remains to be seen how compromised his explosiveness as a pass rusher may be, but he continues to rehab with appearances during the 2017 campaign in mind.

Galette will return to the Redskins on a one-year contract, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.

Although he has been with the Redskins the past two seasons, Galette has yet to appear in a game with the team. He ruptured his left Achilles prior to the 2015 season and his right this past July. According to The Washington Post, he and GM Scot McCloughan reportedly laid out plans for Galette to remain in Washington on a one-year deal for 2017 previously, so this news comes as no surprise.
