Engram in play as Chiefs' hands man?: With the Chiefs moving TE Tony Gonzalez to the Falcons for a second-round pick in the 2010 draft, the club will need someone to step up and help QB Matt Cassel in the passing game. That someone might be veteran Bobby Engram, who doesn't have any kind of good speed but does have some really excellent hands and can help the offense move the chains.

Fantasy Analysis

Engram now becomes a decent reserve Fantasy option and a candidate for over 40 receptions with Gonzalez out of the offense. Make no mistake, Dwayne Bowe is the Chiefs' best receiving threat, but Engram can alleviate some of the pressure and keep the offense moving. He should be a useful reserve, especially in PPR leagues, making him worth a late-round pick in drafts this summer. If the Chiefs add another key receiver this offseason, though, Engram's potential could be in trouble.

WR Bobby Engram, meeting with the Kansas City media Thursday, insisted that he's playing younger than his 36-year age would indicate. "My tank is at least three-quarters full," he said with a chuckle. "That's the way I view life. My thing is that time is not linear; people age at different rates and speeds. I'm not na??ve, though. I know people look at a guy and say, he's this age, you get diminishing returns. But I know my commitment to working out, to wellness levels and nutrition and lifestyle, faith. There are things you can do to offset age. "I've still got things I want to accomplish." 42//2009
