| WR Derek Stanley, who failed to distinguish himself in the first two games, became another of the Rams' 2008 players to be cut loose. Stanley was placed on waivers Tuesday and replaced by Eagles' practice-squad member Danny Amendola. Of the team's 53 players, only 26 were on the team at the end of the '08 season. | August 21, 2009: Turner, Ryan impress as Falcons overpower Rams Atlanta Falcons starters were flawless. St. Louis Rams starters had no answer, even against the second-stringers. Michael Turner accounted for all but 12 yards on the opening 77-yard drive and Matt Ryan was 7 for 8 for 81 yards with a touchdown pass in two series in a 20-13 preseason victory Friday night. |
