| DB Daren Stone, a former Ravens defensive back, was suspended four games by the NFL, Foxsports.com reported. The Web site said the reason for the suspension wasn't immediately known. Stone, who wasn't retained by the Ravens this offseason, made a costly mistake in the AFC championship loss at the Pittsburgh Steelers. He tossed Steelers cornerback Anthony Madison out of bounds during a punt return in the fourth quarter and drew an unnecessary-roughness penalty that moved the Ravens from their 39 to the 14. A 2007 sixth-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons, Stone was signed by the Ravens during the middle of last season and played in eight games. (Updated 2009416) TSX |
