| Eagles break the bank for McCoy: LeSean McCoy and the Eagles agreed to a five-year contract extension that runs through 2017. The deal is for a reported $45 million, with $20.765 million guaranteed, making him one of the highest-paid running backs of all-time. McCoy set franchise records in 2011 with 17 touchdowns rushing, and 20 total scores, while earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. He also led the NFL with 102 first downs and 48 runs of 10-plus yards, while finishing as the league's fourth-leading rusher with 1,309 yards and another 315 yards receiving. As for slowing down now that he's gotten paid, McCoy said he's focused on winning. "[M]e as a person and just the way I was raised, I try and do things the right way," McCoy said when asked about comparing his contract situation to teammate DeSean Jackson's. He later added, "We have one main goal. Sure, guys like new contracts and stats but the main goal is to win a championship and I think we're all on the same page. ... | While a few Fantasy owners might back off of McCoy now that he got paid, we like that the Eagles got the deal done well in advance of his contract year without McCoy voicing any displeasure about a lack of a wealthy contract. Now he can focus on football. Even with the money in the bank, we think McCoy will continue to produce at a high level as a key cog in the Eagles' explosive offense. As one of the rare running backs with 300-touch potential over the course of a season, McCoy stands out as an elite Fantasy option worth a pick between second and fourth overall in every league.
