| Surgery ahead for Smith: Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin said Monday that DL Aaron Smith, placed on injured reserve Saturday, will undergo surgery soon. “He thought it was a function of playing,” Tomlin said. ”Once he hurt his ankle, he thought it would calm down, but it didn’t. [Doctors] evaluated it and looked at it and determined that it needs to be fixed.” (Updated 10/24/2011) |
