| Ss Craig Steltz and Kevin Payne are the tentative starting safeties heading into training camp, but the competition at those positions could be the most intense on the team this year. "We've got some quality guys trying to compete," said new defensive backs coach Jon Hoke. "Corey Graham's taking reps at free safety, transitioning from corner. Athletically, he will challenge those guys once he gets a feel totally for that position." The Bears also added veteran free agent Josh Bullocks. "He's been in the league for four years," Hoke said.
