Sean Richardson: Cleared for on-field, non-contact work
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Sean Richardson (neck) has been cleared for on-field, non-contact workouts, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 2015 season came to an abrupt close for Richardson, who sustained the second herniated disc of his career and subsequently underwent cervical spinal fusion. Receiving clearance to work on the field -- sans contact, of course -- is an encouraging sign in the special teamer's quest to return to the NFL. However, his former employer, the Packers, has been stingy in the past with players boasting neck concerns -- see Jermichael Finley and Nick Collins -- so it's unclear if Richardson will ever achieve his ultimate goal.
