Seahawks' Alvin Bailey drops 30 pounds in offseason
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

Seahawks guard Alvin Bailey had a productive offseason. Bailey lost 30 pounds in the team's offseason conditioning program and is now in the best shape of his career.

""That's a big statement," coach Pete Carroll told Seattle's 710 AM radio. "Everybody appreciates that. The fact that he's worked so hard shows he realizes his opportunity here. ... He's a very smart kid, and he doesn't get out of whack by the challenges out there, but at 350, he could be a little bit lighter."
