Bears center Roberto Garza (ankle) has been ruled out for the Sunday game at Carolina. He had been deemed doubtful. The same fate also has befallen cornerback Sherrick McManis (quad). Safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring), tackle Jermon Bushrod (knee/ankle), linebacker Shea McClellin (hand) and nose tackle Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion) are also inactive.

Their lone healthy scratch is tackle Charles Leno.

The Bears have declared the following players inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bills: linebacker Khaseem Greene, quarterback David Fales, defensive ends David Bass and Cornelius Washington, offensive tackle Charles Leno, cornerback Kelvin Hayden and fullback Tony Fiammetta.

Greene played in 15 games last season as a rookie, making four starts. Fiammetta was questionable to play due to a hamstring injury after being limited at practice all week.
