In three games with the Colts earlier this season, Street caught one pass for 20 yards. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder will add depth to the Colts' wideout corps, but it would take a rash of injuries for him to surface on the fantasy radar. Still, this may indicate Donte Moncrief's hamstring injury will cause him to miss time.
Street was released by the Colts on Wednesday, Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports.
Street found himself out of a roster spot due to the Colts electing to bring up Darryl Morris, who projects to provide depth at cornerback. Street caught just one pass for 20 yards with the team throughout the 2016 season.
Street played just one snap on offense and wasn't targeted in the passing game in Sunday's win at Green Bay.
With Phillip Dorsett and Donte Moncrief returning from injuries, Street won't get much time on offense.
Street played 14-of-68 snaps on offense in Sunday's loss to Kansas City but was not targeted in the passing game.
Street could have a larger role next week against Green Bay if Phillip Dorsett is sidelined with an undisclosed injury and Chester Rogers remains out with a hamstring injury.
With Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) and Donte Moncrief (shoulder) out with injuries, Street played 38 of 69 snaps on offense as the team's third receiver. Street will likely return to the bench when Dorsett or Moncrief are cleared for action, however.
