The Seahawks placed Tukuafu (concussion) on injured reserve Tuesday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.

Tukuafu has been sidelined since sustaining a concussion in Week 13. With his season over, Marcel Reese will now serve as the lead blocker for Thomas Rawls.

Tukuafu (concussion) is ruled out of Sunday's game against the Packers.

Tukuafu entered concussion protocol last Sunday against Carolina and didn't practice at all this week. Consequently, Marcel Reece (who the team signed Monday) will operate as the Seahawks' primary fullback until further notice.

Tukuafu suffered a concussion in Sunday's game against the Panthers and will not return.

Tukuafu's injury leaves the Seahawks without their fullback for the remainder of Sunday's contest. It remains to be seen if it will cost him any further action, but he will have to be cleared to play before he is able to get back on the field.

Tukuafu signed a contract with the Seahawks on Wednesday.

Tukuafu, who had spent the previous two seasons as the Seahawks' top fullback, was released in advance of the season opener, only to be re-signed before Week 2, then released prior to Week 3. In his steed, Luke Willson (knee) assumed the majority of fullback duties for Seattle. However, Willson is currently on the mend from arthroscopic knee surgery and facing an uncertain timetable for a return. RB C.J. Spiller was released in order to make room on the active roster.

Tukuafu was released by the Seahawks on Wednesday, The Seattle Times reports.

The veteran fullback resigned with Seattle last week but played just seven snaps in the Seahawks' Week 2 loss to the Rams. His release leaves the team with one opening on their active roster.
