Vikings running back Adrian Peterson might prove to be an issue Week 14, but the passing game won't be. The Vikings rank 25th in pass offense, averaging 210.6 yards per game. Surprisingly, however, the Vikings rank 13th in scoring offense, averaging 24.1 points per game. Though, Peterson's 11 touchdowns (10 rushing) have a lot to do with that.
DSTs are averaging 10.8 Fantasy points per week against Minnesota, which is the ninth-highest average. Only three DSTs have scored less than 10 Fantasy points in 12 games against Minnesota.
The Ravens DST has scored less than 10 points just three times this season, so Week 14 remains a good time to keep them active in all Fantasy formats. The Ravens have the potential to be a top 5 DST this week.
The Ravens held Pittsburgh's offense scoreless in the first half of the game, as they managed just 98 yards of total offense. Unfortunately, Baltimore was unable to maintain that defensive pressure, especially while generating little pass rush. Ben Roethlisberger tossed a pair of touchdowns in the second half, and only a dropped two-point conversion kept the game from going into overtime.
The Ravens' early defensive success proved to be unsustainable, largely due to a lack of big plays. The Ravens were unable to record even one sack, and forced no turnovers as well.
Baltimore's special teams did nearly break off a game-changing play, when Jacoby Jones appeared to break loose for a kickoff return in the second half. Unfortunately, Steelers' coach Mike Tomlin appeared to get in Jones' way down the sideline, causing Jones to break back towards the middle of the field, where he was taken down.
One week after racking up three turnovers and three sacks, this was certainly a disappointing performance from the Ravens DST unit. They will try to get back on track in Week 14, when the Ravens host the Vikings.
