Eagles unsure of Mychal Kendricks' status for Week 5
by Michael Hurcomb |

Eagles coach Chip Kelly said Monday he doesn't know the Week 5 status yet of linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who has missed the last two games due to a calf injury.

"He's been in every day trying to get ready," Kelly said. "No expectation yes or no."

Eagles DST does its part
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

The Eagles couldn't muster anything offensively Week 4 at San Francisco, but the same can't be said for the defense and special teams. Brad Smith blocked a punt in the end zone for a touchdown in the first quarter, Malcolm Jenkins returned an interception 53 yards for a touchdown in the second and Darren Sproles returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown a little later in the second.

The three touchdowns gave the Eagles DST five on the season. No other DST has more than two.

Otherwise, the Eagles had just a so-so showing defensively. They had four sacks, but just the one turnover. They also allowed 26 points on 407 yards.

With a favorable matchup Week 5 against St. Louis, the Eagles DST might be worth a look in Fantasy even if it can't continue to score touchdowns at this pace.

Eagles offense does little; special teams chips in
by Chris Towers |

The Eagles defense provided little resistance against Washington Sunday, but the special teams stepped up in a 37-34 win in Week 3.

Washington's offense accounted for 511 yards and 34 points in the game, and the Eagles did little to slow them down. The Eagles DST unit forced just one turnover and failed to record a single sack.

Fortunately, the special teams unit made up for the defense's failings, with a 102-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter.

The Eagles will look to put together a better performance in Week 4 against the 49ers.

No surprise inactives for Eagles defense Sunday
by Chris Towers |

Among the six players on the injury report for the Eagles defense in Week 3 against Washington, only defensive back Earl Wolff (knee) was forced to sit out.

Defensive lineman Fletcher Cox (back) is in uniform, along with defensive backs Cary Williams (hamstring), Jaylen Watkins (hamstring), Malcolm Jenkins (shoulder) and Nolan Carroll (elbow).

Eagles rule out just one on defense for Week 3
by Chris Towers |

The Eagles have seven players listed on the injury report for Week 3 against Washington from the defensive side of the ball, and the vast majority are expected to play.

Among the seven, only lineback Mychal Kendricks (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. Defensive back Earl Wolff (knee) is also questionable, while defensive backs Cary Williams (hamstring), Jaylen Watkins (hamstring), Nolan Carroll (elbow) and Malcolm Jenkins (shoulder), along with defensive lineman Fletcher Cox (back) are all probable for Week 3.
