The Cowboys have been strong offensively this season, averaging 28.1 points per game. Defenses facing Dallas have only averaged 4.93 Fantasy points per game this season. Tony Romo has thrown 29 touchdowns this season, which ranks fourth in the league. He's also been able to limit interceptions, tossing just nine this season. The first time the two teams met, Dallas scored 31 points.
Washington has been horrible defensively, allowing a league-worst 31 points per game. The team is below-average producing takeaways. Washington has 13 interceptions and 33 sacks this year. Given their struggles, and the Cowboys propensity to put points on the board, starting Washington's DST this week would be a bad bet.
The Redskins gave up 27 points, but most were the result of their own turnovers. They allowed only 243 yards. They forced a couple turnovers themselves, recording an interception and recovering a fumble, and contributed three sacks, including 1 1/2 by Brian Orakpo.
Despite the solid performance, the Redskins DST remains a unit to avoid in Fantasy, particularly in Week 16 against the Cowboys.
The sack was Kerrigan's first since Week 8. He now has 7 1/2 on the year.
