The Broncos held the Chargers to just 338 yards of total offense, but the Chargers still found the end zone three times, all within a 15-minute span in the second and third quarters. That would be all San Diego needed, as the Broncos failed to force a single turnover, and managed only two sacks in the loss.
The Broncos have now allowed at least 27 points in four straight games, heading into Week 16 against the Texans in Houston.
They've failed to record a sack just once this season, but have managed only two interceptions in the last five games. And in that five-game span, opposing teams have scored 28 or more points three times against the DST.
In Week 10, the Broncos faced the Chargers (their opponent this Thursday night) and scored just eight Fantasy points. While the prospects will be a little better for Denver in Week 15 (a short turnaround, the Chargers having to play in the thin air with little preparation), it's not necessarily a recipe for a 20-point performance.
The Broncos are a decent low-end risk for Week 15, but there may be better options available on your waiver wire.
Tennessee jumped out to a lead early, scoring on their first two drives. The Broncos had trouble with the run early, allowing three rushing touchdowns before halftime. Denver eventually held Chris Johnson and Shonn Greene in check, but the damage had already been done. Outside of Justin Hunter, the team did a great job limiting Tennessee's receivers. They were also without Champ Bailey for the game. Denver will take on the Chargers Week 15.
Tennessee has been about middle of the pack against opposing defenses, allowing them to score 9.33 Fantasy points per game. The Titans can hardly be considered an offensive juggernaut, though. The team has averaged 22 points per game, which ranks 21st in the league. They have done a good job limiting sacks, but are susceptible to fumbling.
Denver hasn't exactly been strong on defense, though. The team has given up 26.4 points per game, which ranks 26th in the league. The Broncos aren't especially strong at taking the ball away from opponents either. Denver has been successful against weaker offenses, holding the Jaguars and the Chiefs under 20 points, so it's possible they could have some success against the Titans. They shouldn't be viewed as a strong Fantasy play regardless of the matchup.
