Seahawks' Marcus Cromartie: Signs with Seattle
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cromartie signed a contract with the Seahawks on Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Cromartie spent the past three seasons in San Francisco but was never able to stay healthy for an entire 16-game slate across three years with the team. His best season came in 2015 when he logged 12 tackles and two passes defended in eight games. He spent a brief period of time with the Bills earlier in the offseason but will now wrestle for a depth position within the Seahawks' secondary in advance of Week 1.

Marcus Cromartie: Released by Buffalo
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cromartie was released by the Bills on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post reports.

Cromartie's release comes just over a month after he was signed by the Bills. He's appeared in 21 games with the 49ers over the first three years of his career, recording 21 tackles and three passes defensed in that span. He'll look to hold on to a spot as a depth secondary and special teams player with another team in 2017.

Cromartie signed with the Bills on Friday.

Cromartie arrives in Buffalo as one of eight signings made Friday. After going undrafted out of Wisconsin in 2013, Cromartie appeared in 21 games over the past three seasons for the 49ers, totaling 21 tackles and three pass deflections. He'll compete for a roster spot with the Bills during training camp.

49ers' Marcus Cromartie: Won't receive free-agent tender
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cromartie won't be tendered by San Francisco, Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Cromartie didn't see much play time in 2016 as he was near the tail end of the 49ers depth chart. He had just five tackles and no passes defensed on the season. He'll be a free agent when the new league year begins on Thursday.

49ers' Marcus Cromartie: Inactive for Sunday's game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cromartie (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Cromartie was limited in practice throughout the week, so it is not a huge surprise to see him sitting out Sunday's game. He provides the 49ers depth at free safety, but his absence shouldn't strongly affect San Francisco's defensive performance.
