Eagles' Nate Allen on being detained: 'It's disgusting' to be linked to this
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Eagles safety Nate Allen told The News-Press on Tuesday that he denies any wrongdoing that caused him to spend five hours in a holding cell in Fort Myers on Monday night. Allen was detained after police were informed that one or two teen-aged girls saw Allen perform a lewd act to himself at red light.

"It's disgusting to even be associated with something like this," Allen said. "Just the fact that there's an accusation with my name, about doing something that repulsive.

"The whole time I was sitting there in this holding cell, I'm thinking, 'Football isn't even worth all this.' I don't even like considering myself a celebrity. I hate how people idolize us. Because this is the type of stuff that comes with being idolized.

"This is the stuff that comes from it."

Allen has not been charged with a crime, but the investigation remains ongoing at this time. The 27-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent next month after making $3 million last season for the Eagles. He played 15 games in 2014, registering 62 tackles and four interceptions.

Lack of big plays sinking Eagles DST
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

The Eagles weren't exactly crushed by the hosting Redskins in Week 16, allowing 27 points on 305 yards, but their DST once again fell short in Fantasy, scoring eight points in standard CBSSports.com leagues. It was its third straight game with less than 10 points.

It was its fourth straight game without a touchdown, which is notable since the Eagles DST scored 10 touchdowns in its first 11 games. It was also big on sacks early in the year but had only two in this one to go along with an interception and a fumble recovery.

The Eagles DST has proven to be a unit that's dependent on big plays for its Fantasy production. Big plays can lead to big points, but they're awfully hard to predict from week to week. The Giants have allowed their share this season -- the Eagles sacked quarterback Eli Manning eight times when the teams last met in Week 6 -- so the Eagles DST remains a viable Fantasy option despite its lackluster production of late.

No encore for Eagles DST
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

The Eagles had arguably their best defensive performance of the season against the Cowboys in Week 13, giving up 10 points on 267 yards, but the rematch didn't go as well in Week 15. The Cowboys scored 38 points on 364 yards, ending a stretch of six games in seven weeks in which the Eagles allowed less than 25 points.

The Eagles didn't make up for it in big plays either, recording three sacks and recovering a fumble with no interceptions. And after all the touchdowns they scored on defense and special teams the first few weeks, they had to rely exclusively on their offense for points for the third straight game.

In terms of Fantasy production, the Eagles DST fell short of double-digit points in standard CBSSports.com leagues for the third time in five weeks, but it scored 18 or more in the other two. It's been kind of a boom-or-bust unit in Fantasy, thanks in part to all the touchdowns, so you'll want to pay close attention to the matchups with it.

Fortunately, it has a favorable one Week 16 at the Redskins, who seem to have a different quarterback every week.
