O'Brien: Clowney's chances of playing Week 8 'getting better and better'
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said linebacker Jadeveon Clowney moved well in practice Wednesday and his chances of returning to the lineup Week 8 at Tennessee are "getting better and better every day." He has missed the last six games after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in early September.

Clowney has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the season opener. Clowney has had some durability issues since being the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was sidelined at times this summer due to hernia surgery and a concussion.

Texans allow 30 points again
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

After allowing 33 points Week 6 against Indianapolis, the Texans allowed 30 Week 7 at Pittsburgh. But while their struggles were to be expected against a Colts offense that ranks No. 1 in the NFL, at least in terms of yardage, the same can't be said for their matchup against the Steelers, who scored 10 points against the Browns in Week 6 and 17 against the Jaguars in Week 5.

Because turnovers kept putting the Steelers in good field position, the Texans allowed 328 yards, only 12 away from their season low. They recorded three sacks, equaling a season high met twice previously, but their only takeaway was a fumble recovery in the first quarter.

The Texans haven't had a favorable schedule of late, but their DST has mostly held its own. Again, the 30 points given up in this one was as much the fault of the offense. With an appealing matchup Week 8 at Tennessee, the Texans DST is an advisable play in Fantasy.

Texans' J.J. Watt continues to terrorize Week 6
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

Texans defensive end J.J. Watt continued to terrorize offenses Week 6.

Watt found a way to make a huge impact during the game. He had seven tackles, including three that went for a loss. He also defensed three passes, and was credited with four quarterback hits. His biggest play came on a fumble recovery. Watt shot through the Texans offensive line to recover the fumble, then picked up it and rumbled 45 yards for the score. It was Watt's third touchdown of the season.

Watt will take on the Steelers Week 7.

Texans defense forces three turnovers in overtime loss
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com

The Texans defense adopted a bend-don't-break strategy in Week 5 against the Cowboys and it nearly worked out, however they fell 20-17 in overtime.

Though they were tagged for 456 yards of total offense, the Texans allowed just two touchdowns in the game. They forced three turnovers -- two on fumbles -- and added one sack in the loss.

The Texans have enjoyed an easy early schedule, and are holding their first five opponents to 17.4 points per game. They face their toughest test yet in Week 6, however, with the Colts on the way.
