  • Sheldrick Redwine: Won't make roster

    Redwine (hamstring) was cut by Dallas on Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Redwine suffered a hamstring injury during the team's preseason finale against Seattle, but it seems as if he's had time to move past the issue. The 26-year-old has spent four years in the NFL, appearing in a total of 33 games for Cleveland, Miami and New York before signing with Dallas this offseason. He'll now be forced to look for a new home ahead of the coming season.

  • Dolphins' Sheldrick Redwine: Re-signed by Miami

    Redwine re-signed Wednesday with the Dolphins on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN Schefter reports. Redwine appeared in four games with the Dolphins last season, in addition to two games with the Jets. He'll compete for a depth role at safety and on special teams heading into the 2022 campaign.

    Redwine (ankle) will not need surgery to address his injury, but he is not practicing, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. A timetable for Redwine's recovery remains undisclosed, but it looks like he's at least avoided a worst-case scenario. The depth safety appeared in 15 games with Cleveland last season, notching 27 tackles (19 solo), a half-sack, one interception and one pass breakup.
