Heap needs to regain explosion: The Baltimore Sun reports the biggest problem for Ravens TE Todd Heap, who is trying to come back from a back injury, is trying to regain explosion. The report states the Ravens' offense is built on timing patterns. They don't do a lot of head-faking and juking when they run routes because they want to get to a certain spot as soon as possible. Without explosion, Heap has been slow getting off the line of scrimmage. That has to change before he becomes Pro Bowl-caliber again, especially in this offense.

Fantasy Analysis

Heap just needs to get healthy because once he's 100 percent he will start to make plays. We still view Heap as a No. 2 Fantasy option and believe that's all he'll be because of the injuries and the addition of L.J. Smith this offseason. If Heap gets healthy, however, he could be worth adding off the waiver wire during bye weeks.
