Schobel won't need foot surgery: Bills DE Aaron Schobel won't need surgery for the Lisfranc sprain he suffered on his left foot this season, the official team Web site reports. Schobel will continue to take care of his foot but will otherwise spend his offseason as he normally would. "I've just got to get ready to play," said Schobel. "In my mind it's about 90 percent. I can still feel it. It's not like the other foot where I never feel it and just run normal. But I could play with it right now if I had to. As long as it's stable even if there's just a little bit of pain then I've got to deal with that."

Fantasy Analysis

Schobel is glad he didn't have surgery, which would have sidelined him for six months and surely put a damper on his offseason routine. Then again, with the foot healing without surgery, there's always the chance this could happen again. When he's healthy, Schobel is a fine Fantasy DL. But owners will shy away from him this offseason because of the foot sprain. It's a risk-reward situation and one that bears watching. Consider Schobel a middle-end No. 2 Fantasy DL at this point with obvious potential to play like a No. 1.
