Shockey back with team: The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports Saints TE Jeremy Shockey was at minicamp practice Friday. It was the first public sighting of Shockey since he was rushed to a hospital in Las Vegas late last month because of dehydration. "It was our first practice and he's healthy, so you were able to see him move around better," coach Sean Payton said. "But it's early and we'll see." Payton said this is the best Shockey has looked since coming to the Saints.

Fantasy Analysis

It appears, as expected, like Shockey is fine. He should be ready for a big season after spending most of the offseason in New Orleans working out with the team. We like Shockey to rebound as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy option. The Saints offense is explosive, and Shockey could benefit. Plan on drafting him with a late-round pick in all leagues.

TE Jeremy Shockey was expected to participate in the final two weeks of the voluntary practice sessions. Shockey, who missed half of the 2008 season with injuries, said he wants to turn the focus on him back to football after he had to be rushed to a Las Vegas hospital to be treated for dehydration on May 24. During the Saints mandatory veteran minicamp last weekend, Shockey offered few details about what caused him to lose consciousness at the Las Vegas pool party last month. But he seemed to confirm that a combination of excessive alcohol and heat led to his collapse. Shockey did not participate in OTAs while a member of the New York Giants, but said he wanted to attend the final two weeks in New Orleans to get more familiar with quarterback Drew Brees and Sean Payton's offense. "I still haven't been here a year, so I can mature a long way and tune up my game," he said. "The most important thing is to know Drew and know what we're trying to get accomplished and knowing each other's game. It's still a new offense for me. I'm going to treat it as a rookie like anyone else in this locker room that just got here." 61/1/2009
