LS Rob Davis, who will turn 40 this year, has announced his retirement. He will will join the team's front office. He was named director of player development Wednesday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations. Davis served as the Packers' long snapper for 11 seasons and played in 167 games in a Green Bay uniform, the third longest streak in team history. Only Brett Favre (255) and Forrest Gregg (187) played in more consecutive games than Davis. 03/26/2008
