Broncos cut hurt RB Arrington: The Denver Post reports that the Broncos have released RB/KR J.J. Arrington, less than three months after signing him. The team cut him because it looks like he will need microfracture surgery on his right knee, which would sideline him for the season. Arrington had arthroscopic surgery on a torn meniscus in the knee earlier this offseason but couldn't recover quickly enough for the Broncos' liking.

Arrington's career is in jeopardy as microfracture surgery typically is a death sentence for an NFL player. Obviously, he's not expected to sign with another team and play this season if it's been determined that his right knee isn't healthy. He should be off of all Fantasy rank lists for now.

RB J.J. Arrington had his contract terminated by Denver after failing a physical. He signed a four-year, $10 million agreement with the Broncos in March, but had right knee surgery earlier in the offseason. The Denver Post reported that Arrington is going to knee season-ending microfracture surgery. The team also signed LaMont Jordan and Correll Buckhalter before using a first-round pick on Knowshon Moreno. 52/8/2009
