| Battle bottled up vs. Raiders : Chargers running back Jackie Battle had a hard time finding many running lanes in Week 17 against the Raiders. Battle rushed for 37 yards on 19 carries in the 24-21 win and had a long of 8 yards. He also caught four passes for 31 yards but was unable to find the end zone. Battle averaged 2.9 yards each time he touched the ball. (Updated 12/31/12) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| With all the injuries San Diego dealt with his season, Battle got some run in San Diego and finished with the year with 274 yards rushing and three TDs. He also had a receiving TD but could find himself playing for a new team next year as he will be a free agent. Still, Battle seems more suited to be a change of pace back rather than a featured one, so his value will likely depend on where he winds up. Keep an eye on the situation over the next few months. However, we can't see too many scenarios in which Battle would be worth more than a low-end option. (Updated 12/31/12). |
