Colston ready for bounce back year: The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports Saints WR Marques Colston is looking forward to a bounce-back year after dealing with injuries in 2008. "You're going to face adversity in any season, and last year was just my turn," Colston said. "There's really not much to learn from it. Just try to work as hard as you can to come back and prevent it from happening again." Last year, Colston had just 47 catches for 760 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games. Colston missed five games with a torn ligament in his left thumb that required surgery. And even after he returned, he never really was the guy who tore through defenses his first two seasons; Colston had 16 drops last season. But no one is doubting Colston will come back strong. "I think he's a guy who's somewhat of a get-in-a-rhythm kind of guy and can be very successful," QB Dres Brees said. "Unfortunately last year, he had a great preseason and then that first game (he got injured). And then he's out five or six weeks. It takes a little while to get back in the swing of things, because everybody else around you on the team and the teams that you're playing, they're in a rhythm."

Colston figures he's as healthy right now as he's ever been at this time of year since joining the Saints. "I feel great," he said. "It's probably the first offseason that I've gone away (from organized team activities) feeling 100 percent." That also includes offseason knee surgery this year. This all sets up for a good season for Colston if he's healthy and ready for training camp. We like Colston as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy WR worth a pick beginning in Round 3. He should be in line for a big season playing with Brees.

WR Marques Colston participated in his first practice of minicamp on June 7 but he looked like the Colston of old. He caught some tough passes and his best grab came while running a slant pattern in traffic. He reached down for a low throw from quarterback Drew Brees and pulled the ball in with one hand. After practice, Colston ran extra pass routes with Brees in an effort to get improve their timing. 61/1/2009
