| Gore: I can still play at high level: Frank Gore has seen the 49ers sign Brandon Jacobs and draft LaMichael James this offseason after Kendall Hunter stole some significant playing time last season. Some people believe is an indictment that Gore can't shoulder the rushing workload anymore. Gore would beg to differ. A year after posting 282 carries for 1,211 yards and eight touchdowns, Gore says he has plenty left to give the Niners. "I feel like I still got a lot left in my tank," said Gore. "I want to show it off that I still got a lot left in my tank and I can play at a high level. I will play at a high level as long as God blesses me to be healthy so I can go out and do something that I love." (Updated 05/09/2012) |

| Gore didn't play nearly as often on third downs last year -- proof of that is in his six-year lows of 17 catches for 114 yards and zero touchdowns. Now there's potential for him to lose some goal-line work to Jacobs and potentially some long-down work to James. Gore remains a borderline No. 1/No. 2 Fantasy running back for now, worth a pick between 17th and 35th overall in drafts. Getting Jacobs with a late-round pick as a handcuff to Gore is also advised.
