Pack wants Grant to be explosive: The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that the Packers and RB Ryan Grant have worked hard this offseason to improve his game. Namely, they'd like Grant to bring back the explosiveness he had in his 2007 season and be more of a tackle-breaker. The Packers chalk up Grant's slow start last season to a strained hamstring suffered in training camp after holding out. "At some point in time, you've got to make some guys miss," Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin said. "You've got to run through some arm tackles. And I'm not saying we didn't do that at all — we did, but we've got to do that more. We've got to do a better job at the second level."

Fantasy Analysis
Grant was kind of a disappointment last year when he had only four rushing touchdowns and none through the first six weeks of the season. He grinded his way to just over 1,200 yards, which isn't bad, but the Packers will try to keep him under 300 carries for the season and will definitely pull the plug on him being close to an every-down back if he struggles right out of the gate. This is an important year for Grant and an important asset for Fantasy owners to think about. His upside is strong, especially in the Packers' solid offense, but there is a chance of a letdown this season. Play it safe and consider Grant a good No. 2 Fantasy RB worth a pick between Rounds 3 and 4.
